Beleagavi: Four brothers drowned in the Krishna River in Haliyal Village in Bellagavi Athani Taluk on Monday.
They washed clothes and one of them was swept away on the river in the Spate.
The others were too sinking when trying to save him, SP Laxman Nimbaragi said.
According to the source, they washed the clothes together, as part of the annual ritual where the laundry of all family members was carried out in a single road.
NDRF and police personnel are looking to track the body.
