Karnataka Govt forms a task force to develop R & D policies

Hubballi: The state government has formed a task force to develop state research and development policies.
Ashok Shettar, Deputy Chancellor of Kle University Technology, will lead the task force as his chairman.
The task force consists of 13 people from various layers of society, including industrialists, edanist, and scientists.
Shettar told the Toi that the first National R & D policy came in 1958, and then in 2003, 2003, 2023, and 2020 but there were no special R & D policies and strategies for the country.
Maintaining his promise, the Chairman of the Minister of Bukavaraj Bommai has established a task force to formulate a general R & D policy for Karnataka.

“Innovation comes from research, so, for us to advance as the state of our own R & D policy is important.
Our main focus is to make a global carnataka hub R & D,” Shettar said.
“Now research activities occur in all sectors including health, education, and agriculture.
Technology or any solutions come from research, so there must be an effective R & D policy.
Our policy is to focus on all sectors including personal to support them to do research with Effective ways and find solutions for various community problems facing various sectors, “he said.
“In India, the research culture must increase.
Compared to other countries, we only have 250 researchers for 10 lakh people, while South Korea has 8,000 researchers and Japan has 5,500 researchers for 10 lakh populations.
So our research output is not too impressive.
he says.
One of the objectives of the task force is to improve the culture of research in all schools and colleges in the state, how to build strong research, the Eko system develops general policies for all sectors.
