Hubballi: An organization and a political leader have advanced to help Devappa more, the Champion Dwarf Athlete who has struggled to meet the needs after the Covid-19 outbreak.
After the report in Stoi in the fate of Devappa because of a pandemic, many people, including NGO representatives and selected representatives, has offered to help him.
As soon as the news broke out on Sunday morning, Santosh Lad, former Minister and former MLA Kalghatigi, sent a check of 10,000 Rs through representatives.
V S Prasad from swarna groups that were too rushed to the village of Kadankoppa and handed the RS 30,000 check to Devappa.
Talking about the fate of Devappa, New said it was unfortunate.
“If I knew about him before.
But still, we are ready to support him in the future if needed.
I urge the government to identify people who excel like that, and help them if they need support,” he added.
Prasad said he knew the dwarf athletes from international reputation through Stoi.
He also offers to help Devappa in the future.
Devappa said he was happy to see the help flow.
“There are many sportsmen who need help.
The government must redeem them,” he advised.
