Karnataka: More than 2,300 Lab Technical Officers have not received risk benefits

Haveri: Laboratory Technical Officer (KPP) at the Government Hospital, which is a frontline Covid worker, has worked nonstop for the past 18 months in the state.
However, the government has not released risk benefits to them.
Although it has approved risk benefits to doctors (Rs 10,000), nurse staff (RS 8,000), and Group D (RS 5,000), LTO has been ignored.
Although there is an increase in workload, more than 2,372 LTO has not been paid for risk benefits.
The condition of 1,800 lab technicians who work as outsourcing employees are also the same.
According to Ltos, they played a key pandemic role because they had to be very careful when gathering swabs, labeling them and issuing test reports.
Seven Lto has surrendered to the state after the Covid-19 contract.
But the government has not fulfilled their lawsuits even though it is often interesting.
H Puttaraju, President of Karnataka State of the Government of the Technical Laboratory Laboratory Medical said, “Although there is an increase in workload, not many have been changed in terms of salary or wages.” He added that from 2,751 poles of sanctions including LTO junior and senior in the state, only 2,372 worked and 379 posts were empty.
This has increased work pressure on existing staff, he said.
“The authorities have assured that government files on sanction benefits are in the Ministry of Finance and that it will soon be approved after approval.
According to officers, the department plans to recruit 204 LTO,” he said.
“We are people who diagnose people for Covid-19.
We do this every day in the face of risk.
However, we are not paid what we deserve.
The government must consider our services and provide risk benefits,” Urge Basavaraj Kamatad, President District Haveri of the association.
