Karnataka OKS Five Day Celebration Festival Ganesh

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government on Sunday allows the public celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi for a maximum of five days from September 10 in districts where the covid level of participant is less than 2%, but prohibits cultural events and soaking procession during this period.
Until the date, all 31 districts in Karnataka have a case of the case of under 2%.
CM Bommai Basilvaraj, which is under pressure to offer concessions for Ganesh Chaturthi, on Sunday consulted with experts and ministerial colleagues before making a decision.
“The Ganesh idol must sink within five days in the designated pool, but no procession is permitted while taking idols for immersion,” said Revenue Minister R Ashoka after a meeting for one hour.
The 9 PM-5AM night curfew will remain valid for five days, and people are prohibited on adventure after 9pm.
According to the guidelines, only one public pandal permitted in every city ward in urban areas and the regional government will decide how many idols can be installed in rural areas.
Pandal should not be greater than 50x50ft with a hat 20 visitors at a time, and the organizers must be affixed and have a negative certificate of RT-PCR.

Ashoka said the government had asked for a local body to drive vaccination for organizers on the Pandal site.
The government has limited idols in 2ft (home) and at 4ft (pandal) and they must be made from environmentally friendly materials.
There are no installation or idol celebrations permitted in schools and colleges.
While idols must be embedded only on the appointed tank or pool, Ashoka will lead the BBMP official meeting on Monday to decide on modalities and places for immersion.
The government says people must choose to immerse idols at home and ensure the minimum number of people if they want to take idols for soaking in designated places.
