Kalaburagi: A pregnant woman ignores her gynecological advice and takes part in a physical test for police sub-inspectors at Dar Police Ground here on Wednesday.
Even though he was 10 weeks pregnant, Ashwini Santhosh Kore (24) qualified after taking part in the test.
Ashwini, an engineer from Bidar, told toi he had passed a physical test twice but could not delete a written exam.
This time, he was in a dilemma when he was pregnant and wasn’t sure if he could handle a tiring test.
The gynecologist does not recommend it because it can make the risk of a baby and himself too.
Quoting its preface, Ashwini claimed he asked the officers to forgive him from a 400 meter high road.
When they disagree, he finishes it in 1.36 minutes, either under a 2 minute qualifier.
He cleans all tests – long jump, put shot and run 400 meters.
Not realizing he was pregnant, said Iggpnorth-Eastern Range IGP Manish Kharbikar said he and members of the Selection Committee did not realize his pregnancy.
“In fact, many pregnant candidates do not reveal their condition to the selection committee because they are afraid we will not let them take a physical test.”
