Shivamogga: Shivamogga police arrested 12 people in the mass killing of wild dogs in Hunasattine village in Kambadal-Hosur Gram Panchayat in Bhadravathi Taluk.
The carcass of nearly 60 dogs has been removed from the hole.
Shivamogga SP BM Laxmi Prasad said that the 60 carcasses had been found in holes and postmortem had been carried out.
Bones, skin, hair and parts of the heart have been sent to the Forensic Laboratory.
Among those who were arrested were people who arrested the dogs and gave deadly injections and earth drive operators, the officer said.
