Bengaluru: Nearly 8.5 Lakh students appeared for the SSLC exam on Monday, voters were better than last year.
Monday is the first of two papers in a second language – in language – scheduled Thursday.
The first paper on the core subjects saw 99.6% from almost 8.8 lakh students who met the requirements to appear for the exam compared to last year 98.4%.
S Suresh Kumar, Minister of Education and Secondary Education, said the results would be announced on August 10 or 11.
While 99.6% of 8.52.191 candidates who registered attending the Mathematics Exam, Science saw the presence of 99.6% from 8,43,976 students and science Social 99.7% of 8,24,689 students.
Last year, the percentage of attendance for mathematics, science and social science respectively was 98.30%, 98.36%, and each of 98.43%.
Examination was held at 4,885 centers across the state and 111 candidates showing symptoms such as cough and cold sitting in special rooms.
58 other Covid-positive students also appeared for the exam from the Covid Care Center, while 2,870 took tests from government and private hostels.
As many as 10,693 students have changed their inspection center after migrating to other parts of the country.
The minister said not one example of the reported malpractice.
