Hubballi: With timely intervention and assistance from Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner Labhuram, Police Gokul Road saved a six-year-old girl from Bengaluru after he was kidnapped in Hubballi on Saturday.
According to the police source, the defendant was Shabnam Rafiq Gadagkar, 20, a resident of Ramalingeshwar Nagar.
He was arrested by the police with the help of the Bengaluru Police and brought back to Hubballi along with a girl who was saved.
Shabnam and the girl is a distant relative.
JM Kalimrichi, Police Inspector, Gokul Road, said at 12 noon on Saturday, Shabnam took the girl, who lived close to his house which stated that he had some work on the market.
Then at night, he took him to Bengaluru.
Aslam Ballary, the girl’s father and Ramalingeshwar Nagar, told the police on Sunday that his daughter had been kidnapped.
Immediately, the police tracked Shabnam’s cellphone to Bengaluru and through the record of his call knowing with whom he was related.
A police team was also sent to Bengaluru.
Realizing that a special team will take more time to reach Bengaluru, Labhuram made assistance from the Bengaluru Police.
He also spoke with ACP from the Chickpet police station, who then warned the police upparpet about the kidnapping.
Before the local police Bengaluru won the Majestic bus terminal, Kalimrichi was related to Shabnam boyfriend, who was in Mandya and told him to ensure he was waiting at the Platform No.
