Hubballi: Shrinivas MP, son of the train keeper, has crossed another milestone, after completing engineering in Bengaluru and MS in Seattle.
The 29-year-old child has broken the UPSC civil service exam and secured the 235th rank.
Prasana MP, Shrinivas’s father, is an express guard on the southwestern train, Hubballi.
“My father used to be far from the house on duty while my mother used to take tuition fees for children in the neighborhood,” Shrinivas said.
“They ensure that I get good education and constantly motivating me to achieve more and more in life.” The family, from Malebennur in the Davangere district, have lived in Hubballi for several years now.
Shrinivas did school in Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Hubballi and joined Narayan College in Hyderabad for PU.
“I pursued RV College of Engineering in Bengaluru and finished MS at the University of Washington, Seattle.
Then I worked in a private company for a year and returned to Karnataka with the intention of breaking the civil service test,” he said.
This is the fifth effort.
“Because I was very interested in Kannada literature, I took the coaching of the Kannada Critic Narahalli veteran to the three months in Bengaluru.
I did not join coaching for public papers but appeared for several tests in Bengaluru to assess my studies,” he said, explaining his preparations.
