Thiruvananthapuram: The country witnessed 8,867 positive cases of 79,554 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Among new cases, 7,428 people had taken vaccinations, 2,797 had taken both doses, and 2,300 had not even taken a single dose.
The current total active case is 94,756, where 9.8% of people are accepted both in hospitals or other care centers.
Meanwhile, 67 deaths were recently confirmed as caused by Covid, taking dead in the country to 26,734.
At the same time, 9,872 patients had recovered.
Among new cases, 8434 cases have been infected through local deployment.
Infection contact sources cannot be traced to 337.
There are 64 health professionals among those infected, and 32 people have arrived from outside the country.
Ernakulam reported the highest number of cases with 1,377, followed by Thiruvananthapuram (1,288) and thrissur (1,091).
There are 3,27,682 people currently observing in various countries, where 3,17,060 is in their homes or institutional quarantine centers, and 10,622 in isolation in hospitals.
In accordance with the weekly infection population ratio, 211 wards in 158 local bodies have more than 10% WIPR.
