Raichur: He is the only teacher in a lower elementary school in Raichur Remicall Village, which offers the strength of 50 students, and intends to improve the experience of children, he has created a garden, full of fountains and slides, when the school is closed for pandemic.
Elementary school in Barigidadadoddi in Lingasugur tucked into a remote village with only 35 households.
Chandru Kabbalageri drew inspiration from the fountain he saw in Almatti Dam in Bagalkot, and decided to imitate it at school.
Kabbalageri is the principal and teacher at school, which is almost 90 km from the district headquarters.
Kabbalageri began working in parking in 2020 and completed the project before the end of the year.
He coughed most of the funds needed for the project from his own pocket.
Fountains have been placed in forms such as triangles, boxes, rectangles and circles.
Water jets and swaying flows to Kannada Patriotic songs and reflection songs.
“This helps in explaining the concept of children, because the class has not been continued for the primary class,” he said.
He began working at school since 2002, and has spent almost Rs 20,000 almost every year to add something to school.
“Because the school was closed during locking, I saw it as an opportunity to develop a garden based on the theme.
This park has letters and numbers crossed in several places.
Primary school students like to play while learning.
That’s the reason I decided to install more playing equipment.
, I plan to install a swing in the park, “said Kabalageri to Tii.
The fountain, he said, was developed using valves and control panels.
Kabbalageri said that water can flow from various ways in harmony with the music played on the note.
The park, he is proud to say, has turned into the center of attractions for children and makes them more eager to come to school.
“Because the class has not started for children, we enjoy a pleasant session before going to the village and give my lesson.
The students are more attentive now, after the park is developed,” he said.
