Hyderabad: Two people, who allegedly transported 300 kg of marijuana from Visakhapatnam to Ahmed Nagar in Maharashtra in the goods vehicle, was arrested by charges of the group to Moosaarambagh early on Saturday.
The police said the smuggling value was Rs 30 Lakh.
Police Commissioner Hyderabad Anjani Kumar said Vilas Baahaheb Dhakane, a vendor of vehicle drivers, and Dyaneshwar Mohite, a vilas foot, arrested.
Both of them come from Maharashtra.
The duo began their journey with van DCM carrying a blank vegetable tray.
In Nakkapalli in Vizag, they loaded 300kg from cannabis Contraband goods.
The task made detectives, based on tip-off, intercepting vehicles and during checking, finding marijuana in 10 hidden bags in the vehicle.
“The defendant came into contact with the supplier of Vanapalli Naga Sai from Narsippatnam and several other agents.
From this supplier, the defendant bought marijuana at 1,500 per kg.
They transported the consignment from Vizag to Ahmed Nagar and planned to sell it to customers with Rs 10,000 per kg, ‘ ‘The police said.
The accusations have managed to transport marijuana on five occasions but ran out of luck on the sixth occasion.
“When asked about empty trays, the duo said they had reduced the stock of vegetables and returned,” said the officer about Radha’s special task Rao at a press conference.
