Dhaka: Senior Bangladesh All-Rounder Mahmuditlah has made a sudden decision to stop playing crickets test, a day after recording 150 best career in one-time examination ongoing against Zimbabwe in Harare.
According to a report at Crisbuzz, Mahmuditlah told his colleagues that he did not want to continue his test career again, leaving the management of the team was shocked.
“Yes, he (Mahmuditlah) has told him he did not want to extend his test career after this match.
But he did not tell us something officially and we must see whether it was an emotional explosion or not,” The website quotes Top Bangladesh Cricket Board ( BCB) said.
Mahmuditlah has played 49 tests with 2764 running at an average of 31 pluses and four and a half centuries.
Mahmuditlah, 35, made a test debut in 2009 against West Indies, made dreams start his career in a traditional format.
He failed with a bat, but produced the best bowling numbers for Bangladesh to his debut, took 8 Wickets in the match, including five people in the second half to help Bangladesh sealed their first victory.
