Chennai: The Gummidipoondi police arrested a 28-year-old man on charges of raping a woman after climbing his drink with a tranquilizer three years ago.
The defendant was identified as B Prabu Village Madharpakkam, runs a dance school when he touched the victim on social media.
Prabu then invited him to his house and offered a barbed drink with a sedative in 2019.
When he woke up the next morning, he realized that he had been raped.
When he faced Prabu, he tried to calm him by saying he would marry him.
Because Prabu was suspected of postponing marriage for various reasons and then threatened him with a terrible consequence if he survived his marriage request, he filed a complaint with the All-Woman Gummidipoondi police.
The case was registered after the investigation and Prabhu was arrested.
He has been sent to prison.
