New Delhi: The Legendary Michael Holding, one of the most fierce Pacers and one of the most respected voices in the cricket world, has called the time on his famous career as a commentator and announcer.
The 66-year-old child, who was part of the Sky Sports Comment Panel for more than 20 years, has contemplated the microphone hanging for the past year.
Former West Indian Pacer, who is part of the test series between India and England, previously said that he would not be able to travel and be on the road as he used to be.
“I’m not too sure how far from 2020 I will go with comments.
I can’t see myself further on the road at my age.
I am 66 years old now, I’m not 36, 46 or 56,” holds, who started commenting Cricket in 1991 in the Caribbean, said at a radio talks.
“I told (sky) that I could not commit more than a year at once.
If this year is completely destroyed, I might have to think about 2021 because I can’t just walk away from the sky, a company that has done so much good for I.
“Handing, who bid on Adieu to International Cricket in 1987, was very well respected for his well-known analysis playing 60 tests and 102 Odis, took 391 international goals during his career.
Known because of his baritone sound and his economy while expressing his mind, holding was one of the leading votes for racism in black life after the murder of Floyd.
