Lahore (Pakistan): Veteran Pakistani All-Rounder Mohammad Heafez chose from the Twenty20 Twenty20 international series on Monday, saying a young man must be given the opportunity on the tour.
The 40-year-old player is part of the Twenty20 World Cup campaign in Pakistan where they play Australia in the semi-finals in Dubai on Thursday.
The 18-Pakistani squad will fly from the United Arab Emirates to Bangladesh where they also play two tests after T20IS.
Voters have brought back Iftikhar Ahmed at the place of Hafeaz, which is also a cheat, said the Pakistani Cricket Council broadcast.
Ahmed has played 13 T20IS for Pakistan but was not chosen for the World Cup.
Three T20i will all be played in Dhaka on November 19, 20 and 22.
The two tests will be in the chatogram (November 26-30) and in Dhaka (December 4-8).
The squad for the test will be announced later.
Fast Bowler Shahnawaz Dahani and Leg-Spinner Usman Qadir – part of the backup at the T20 World Cup in the UAE – is part of the squad for the Bangladesh series.
