MP-MLA Court Frames Graft Costs Against Ex-BSP Mantri

Prayagraj: The MP-MLA court on Friday’s framed charges against former cabinet ministers in the BSP Rakesh Dhar Tripathi government under the prevention of corruption laws.
Suspected of Tripathi, while working as a cabinet minister, gathering a wealth of dispropororyto a known source of income.
From May 1, 2007, until December 31, 2011, Tripathi was allegedly spending more than Rs 2.5 Crore despite the source of income which was known only Rs 50 Lakh.
The former minister failed to provide additional income accounts.
Advice on the District Government (Criminal) Gulab Chandra Agrahri said a criminal case was previously registered against Tripathi for corruption.
Furthermore, a corruption case was transferred to the MP-MLA court, when established in accordance with the direction of the Supreme Court to exclusively hear cases related to politicians.
During the court process, special judges, MP-MLA courts, Alok Kumar Srivastava read the allegations before Tripathi, the prime facie denied them and asked the trial.
