Karachi: Fast Bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, who became the first Pakistan to win the initial award of the Cricketer ICC, said three of the three-goal goal against India at the T20 World Cup last year was the most memorable performance of 2021.
Afridi took three goals for 31 Run by removing the top three of India’s batting commands – Rohit Sharma, Kl Rahul and Virat Kohli – to play a major role in Pakistan’s 10-goal victory over their arch rivals.
“I have many good shows including five-fors in the test.
But the most memorable for me will be a match that we won against India,” he told Ary News Channel.
“It is a great year for me and hopefully you will see a good one.
The show in 2022 too.” Afridi described the opening of India Kl goalkeeper Kl Rahul as the most valuable skin in the T20 World Cup.
He said he expected to get Rohit Sharma’s goal earlier but he enjoyed the dismissal of Kl Rahul in the tournament in the UAE.
“There was a little swing and we knew we could get Rohit from the start but the ball that rejected Rahul even surprised me,” 21-year-old Pacer who enjoyed great success in 2021 in the three formats, including magic spells against India, including spells in India, said Senior Senior Team Shoaib Malik gave him advice before he got goalkeeper Kl Rahul.
“The ball didn’t swing as much as it was honest but I bowed at a good speed and Malik told me to throw it and let the ball do something,” he recalled.
“Even I didn’t expect the ball to do so much when passing the Kl Rahul defense.
It is a big goal For me.
“He also showed that in the international cricket needed to produce magical balls to get a quality Batsmen goalkeeper like Rohit Sharma or Babar Azam.
“Very satisfying for me to also take Kohli’s goal later but at that time he had a half century.” Asked repeatedly if he felt the Indian team was afraid after two early goals, Afridi said he would say they were under a lot of pressure.
Afridi, who will captain Franchise captain Lahore Qalasdars in the upcoming Pakistani League, also talked about how he had him cry after Pakistan loses the T20 World Cup semifinals to Australia.
“Yes, I cried after Matthew Wade hit me for three six and we lost the match.
It was heartbreaking for us as a team.” Afridi described Babar as one of the best batsmen he had ever bald, by saying “It takes a special ball to get it out.”
