MUMBAI: Nearly four weeks after he dropped out for his former Mumbai teammate and Ramesh Powar to function as Mumbai trainer, Amol Muzumdar substituted the ex-India off-spinner from the’hot seat’ if the national stalwart was on Tuesday called the new head trainer of this Mumbai senior group for its 2021-22 year old.
The decision had been accepted by the MCA’s Cricket Improvement Committee (CIC) that is led by former India batsman and federal selector Jatin Paranjape, also comprises ex-India gamers Vinod Kambli and Nilesh Kulkarni.

After Powar stopped the post after contributing Mumbai into the Vijay Hazare Trophy victory, Muzumdar had been a front-runner to purse the occupation.
An former Mumbai Ranji-winning captain, Muzumdar played with a list 11,167 runs in 171 exceptional matches @48.13, together with 30 countless 60 fifties to boot up.
Post retirement, that he was a batting coach with the NCA, the Rajasthan Royals along with the visiting South African team to India from 2019, apart from being a TV commentator in cricket.
