Imphal: Ahead of the polls of the Manipur Assembly, repentance of representatives for Bista, Jain and Mahesh G Jiwade’s deed, on Saturday, said they would store the tab close to the expenditure of polls to ensure free, fair and reduction free elections in the district.
The announcement came a few days after the observer held a meeting with the manager of all bank branches in the district to review suspicious cash transactions.
During Saturday meetings, observers appealed from all battle candidates to impress their candidates to become a role model in limiting illegal expenditure for future polls.
Bishnupur, who accommodated five seats assembly Oinam, Bishnupur, Thanga, Moirang and cumbi, was among the sixth valleys and hills in the state who would vote in the first phase, scheduled for February 28.
The first phase includes 38 constituencies, while the second phase, which includes 22 remaining seats, will be held in March Saturday night.

Observers also told the election agent that candidate election expenditures would be strictly monitored from the date of nomination until the declaration of the results, he added.
