Australia Captain Team Paine said their first test opportunities against Afghanistan continuously “did not look good” with the Taliban who did not want to let the woman play cricket and question why the game government body remained silent on this problem.
Australia will face the Afghan men’s team in Hobart from November 27 but the Australian Cricket said on Thursday they would not host the side if the female cricket report would not be supported in the country as evidenced.
Paine also highlighted the continued silence of the International Cricket Council considering that Afghanistan would take part in the Twenty20 World Cup, which began on October 17 in the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
“(Hobart test) does not look good, we are in the world of problems no doubt, but the surrounding reason may be fair enough,” said Paine on Radio Sen.
“There may be two levels for it.
There is a cricket aspect for it from the ICC point of view which is a country that plays you must have an international female team, clearly with the Taliban at that time forbid women from playing sports and it has implications at the ICC level.” Second of the perspective of women, human rights, not including half of your population from trying to do something inactive.
“I don’t think we want to be associated with countries that take things or opportunities literally half of their population.” Paine said he could not see how Afghanistan could be played at the ICC event in the current state.
“At this stage we have heard from the Australian Cricket, we have heard from the Australian Government, we have heard from the Australian Cricketers Association,” Paine said.
“But not to mention the ICC, which I think is interesting considering there is a T20 World Cup within one month and now Afghanistan is in that matter.” It would be interesting to see what happened in that room.
.
Is the team excluded from the World Cup? “I imagine it was impossible if the team withdrew opposed to playing against them and the government did not let them travel to our beach, then how a team as it could be allowed to play in the ICC sanctions event would be very, very difficult to see.”
