Prayagraj: The ghat of Phaphamau instills a gloomy appearance on Friday if the zonal officer of Prayagraj Municipal Corporation (PMC), Niraj Kumar Singh, cremated none, not 2, but half a dozen figures, unaware of that were, also at the absence of anybody in the families of those deceased spirits.
Due to the sudden rise (10 cm) from the water level of the Ganga from the previous 24 hours, there’s been a uncontrolled erosion of banks across the lake at particular points.
This resulted in a scenario wherein many bodies buried near the river bank were still confronting the danger of vulnerability.
“After obtaining an official acceptance from senior officers, my group discovered six bodies that are buried.
Afterward I cremated them all one by you,” said Niraj.
It was an emotional day for me personally since I cremated both figures, also kept praying the deceased spirits could get salvation.
I didn’t understand the six of these were which village that they belonged , and I was, doing their final rites with exactly the identical despair and empathy as I’d have felt to my relatives,” additional Niraj.
The pyre was founded from the capital of PMC.
After the official realised there wasn’t a chance of locating the loved ones of some of those six dead person, he also lit the pyre.
“we’ve been keeping a close eye to the ghats to make sure no bodies have been buried there.
At exactly the identical time, once we discovered that some buried bodies might get vulnerable and drop in the river because of the erosion of banks, then we all immediately dug the bodies out and cremated them,” said public relation officer of PMC, PK Mishra.
The PMC officer did all of the work , that is otherwise achieved by the employees present at the site who have experience in the undertaking.
“Right from preparing the pyre in addition to the staff members to light the pyre and incorporating powder to improve the fires, I needed to do whatever.
It has given me tremendous pride because running an appropriate cremation is thought to be very dreadful in Hinduism,” said Niraj.
