Davanagere: Police Housing Schools have emerged in Kondajji Village in Harihar Taluk from the Davanagere district.
The school, was built at a cost of Rs 13.5 Crore on the vast 10acre campus with forests and lakes in the background, getting ready to recognize students.
Provisions have been made to recognize students for class VI to X, and are open to children from personal police and the general public from which part of Karnataka.
This will be the first public school in the center of Karnataka, said SP C B Ryshyanth.
Overall, 220 students, including 60 girls, can be accepted here from the academic year 2022-23.
According to a senior police officer, the school came under the jurisdiction of the Eastern Police circuit which included Davanagere, Chitradurga, Shivamogga District and Haveri.
“We are pleased that the building complete with the hostel comes in our village,” said Devaraj, a local, said, adding: “The former parliamentary member of the Condajji Gakarppa has opened a training center for scouts and past guidelines.

The presence of the Morarji Desai Housing School and Indira Gandhi Housing School in the region has made the Kondajjji Village as an education center, said Mudegowdappa, other villagers.
