Melbourne: From Australia’s Favor Batsman Peter HandComb was forced to pass his Count match against Leicestershire in England after testing positive Covid-19.
The 30-year-old player, who has become the captain of Middlesex this season, cannot play their group of two Championship groups on Sundays after being forced into isolation after the results of positive tests.
“Ireland Tim Murtagh stepped to fill for handcomb as captain, when Middlesex ended day one of the clashes with Leicestershire at 3-280,” said a ‘Western Australia’ report.
Handball will be through a bad operation because he failed to cross the 50-run mark at 13 innings for Middlesex.
He has fallen from the national voter radar and last played the test against India in Sydney in January 2019.
The last T20i also against India in Bengaluru in February 2019.
His last international match was ODI against England in Birmingham in July 2019.
