Prasagraj: In the background of the instance of death in the state caused by the consumption of liquor, the Excise Ministry will immediately install the Point of Sale engine in the state liquor store.
Preparation in this case has been completed by the department.
To implement an ambitious project, the department has chosen a beer shop as a pilot project in the first phase.
The system will be installed around 7500 beer stores throughout the state in the next two months.
Once installed, each beer bottle – and at the next stage of liquor sold from liquor stores – will be scanned through the post machine installed in the store concerned.
As soon as the Quick Response (QR) code is scanned by the machine, all details about the bottle concerned will be transferred to the Excise Ministry server.
“Any bottle of beer, which is produced in the state is present with a QR code and now when sales will only be possible after scanning bottles under the post machine, there will be no possibility of selling fake liquor.
At the same time, the department will get the right information from Liquor, directly from production and to sales to consumers “, said District Excise (DEO), Jitendra Singh, while talking to TOI.
In recent years, many people lost their lives by drinking fake liquor.
To prevent this, there is talk about installing post machines in liquor stores.
However, because some technical obstacles, the same thing cannot be installed.
The Excise Ministry has now decided to improve it gradually.
The beer shop is relatively few in number and therefore the department has chosen to install postal machines in the first phase in stores that sell countries.
In the second phase, it will be installed in liquor stores and in the third phase at the State liquor store too.
After installing the machine, it will be mandatory for the shopkeeper to scan and sell bottle of liquor from the machine.
Immediately after being scanned, the full details of the sale along with the store name, bottle making, serial number etc.
will be transferred to the data department data.
In addition to checking the sale of fake liquor, this system is very designed with that liquor, allocated for sale from one store, cannot be sold from other stores.
As soon as the QR code is scanned, the department will find out for stores where the drinks are allocated from the warehouse.
If the sale is done to another store, the action can be taken against the shopkeeper.
