PRAYAGRAJ: In view of reviewing the preparations made in view of Mauni Amavasya (February 1), the third main bathing festival of Magh Mela, Division Commissioner Sanjay Goyal inspected various places of the region Mela Friday.
When reviewing the preparations made by different departments for examination, she was directed to put up a list of boat speed allowed by the authorities Mela in various places of the Sangam Nose and increase the number of additional control tower and the public address system near Qila Ghat.
This instruction has been taken with a view to protecting the pilgrims of being cheated by the boat driver and to improve the supervision of pilgrims journey to the castle.
Moreover, Jal Police officials also have been asked to ensure compliance with the instruction of all the boat driver to make people must wear jackets while boating.
In the case of non-compliance by sailors, instructions have been given to seize their boats.
During the investigation, the Commissioner of the Division, instructed to increase the number of help desk Covid-19 in various sectors of the fair.
He also directed to set up a thermal scanning centers around Sangam nose so that they can be further enhanced visibility and the people do not face any difficulty.
Along with this, instructions have been given to increase the amount of clean up gang near a crowded ghats and to do the work of collecting garbage more active.
In this sequence, Goyal also make unannounced public toilet complex and interact with sanitation workers who work there.
Expressing displeasure at the health department officials for not getting the toilet as expected, he has directed the sanitation workers to provide cleaning kits from time to time and keep all the toilets and urinals really clean.
He also inspected the ICCC and Covid-19 Control Room located at Mela authority office and retrieve detailed information about the measures taken in the exhibition from a security standpoint and Covid.
He also has asked officers from the Police to work with due diligence and better coordination with officers from other departments in view Mauni Amavasya bathing.
During the inspection, City Commissioner Ravi Ranjan, Mela Adhikari Arvind Kumar Chauhan, Superintendent of Police (Mela) Rajiv Narayan Mishra, Chief Medical Officer Dr Nanak Recommendations and officers of all the departments concerned are present.
