Beleagavi: Hindalga Central Prison Prisoners will be trained in painting by Asian Paints Color Academy.
The weeklong certificate course is intended to encourage entrepreneurship among prisoners.
Academy, run by MNC Paints MNC Mumbai Ltd, will start a training session for around 50 detainees next week.
Half of prisoners in prison are below and the rest are prisoners whose conditions of confidence are almost complete.
The prison department has identified inmates so they believe that once they are running freely.
A similar program was first done at the Agrahara Parapula Prison in Bengaluru in 2013, and in a recent Ballari prison.
Now, the Prison of the Belagavavi host the session under the leadership of Krishna Kumar, Superintendent Head (Prison).
As part of corporate social responsibility, the company has trained unskilled workers since 2005.Shna Kumar to the Toi Academy will send 4-5 coaches to prison.
Apart from the certificate, the participants passed at the end of the session, the training participants will get ID cards and licenses to get a painting job after leaving prison.
“Weeklong sessions will occur in prisons, and the academy will get the ingredients needed for this session.
Enthusiastic prisoners attended the session,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Rudset (Rural Development and Training of the Self-Working Institute) and Syndicate Bank will hold a training program to choose inmates on repair equipment such as washing machines, refrigerators, TVs and others.
