Prof. Savindra Singh, Ex-Hod Geography Department in AU, New Job Author about Cryogeography

Prasagraj: Former Head of Geography Department at Allahabad University and a leading name in the field of geomorphology, Prof.
Savindra Singh has received his new work related to the topic of geography that is touched, called Cryogeography.
Prof.
Singh wrote a challenging job when he lost his wife who exhaled the last in 2020.
He suffered from cancer.
However, it was not affected by the death of a better half, Prof.
Singh had come out with this work for the progress of student brotherhood who did not have enough literature to study this significant geography branch.
Towards Teacher’s Day, the Geography of the Indian Terminal and Doyen Geography discussed this book to Geography students at the University of Allahabad.
He has done a lot of effort to keep the price of this book affordable for all students.
Speaking with Toi, Prof.
Singh said, “Cryogeography refers to scientific studies from the frozen surface, namely, cryosphere, components, their formation and distribution, permaffer, physical processes operating in Cryosphere.” This book consists of 13 chapters related to Cryosphere and various theoretical and applied aspects.
It contains chapters about the basic concepts of cryogepgraphy, cryosphere, ice and ice cores, ice shelves and icebergs, permafrost, geomorphic, glaciers, glaciers, glaciases, and swamp landscapes, climate change, ice age, etc.
“Very useful for students, researchers and candidates for civil service and other competitive exams.
This includes various contemporary problems such as global warming and climate change and its consequences such as glacier smelting and sea level rise due to excessive human disorders,” said the head of the Geography Department in AU, Prof.
Ar Siddiqui.
Born on July 10, 1944 in the Ghazipur district, Prof.
Singh conducted an initial school in its home city.
He studied at Azamgarh from class 9 to class 12.
He is among the toppers in all classes to graduate.
He has won several awards including Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sanshthan Award about Paradaavaran Bhugol in 1993 and is the Honorary Fellow International Geomorphology Association in 2017.
