Karwar: Score of prospective jobs in Uttara Kannada Regency was deceived by an individual from Byadagi, who cheated money from them by promising work in the police department through direct recruitment.
Complaints have been registered against Santosh Tippanna Gudagi, which was reportedly dismissed from the police, at the Mundgod police station.
The deadly Raikar Gururaj allegedly lost Rs 2 lakh to a cheater.
According to complaints, Santosh introduced himself to Raikar as a resident of Bengaluru, who can secure the last work in police forces using his influence.
Raikar is one of many prospective jobs taken by the promise of Santosh, and loses thousands of rupees in the process.
Santosh allegedly gave a false appointment letter to the candidates who paid for money.
Interestingly, everyone he defenses to save money into Santosh’s account.
Only when these candidates are armed with the appointment letters they believe the original tries to report to the obligation, that they realize that they have been cheated.
A pine has now been submitted, and the police have launched hunting for Santosh.
