TOI had reported on January 23 that the Board is considering options to hold the league phase of the Ranji Trophy before the IPL and play KO later.
In an e-mail (TOI has a copy) to all affiliated associations of the BCCI on Friday, Shah wrote: “Dear members, I hope you are doing well.
I am writing to you to inform you that all decks have been cleared and we set doing Ranji Trophy 2020-21 season long.
Earlier this month, the Council was forced to postpone a major domestic tournament India amid rising COVID-19 cases in this country.
“Since the postponement decision was made, the Council is working on several models to ensure that the tournament takes place as soon as a safe and conducive environment.

BCCI treasurer Thursday Arun Dhumal told PTI that the board intended to hold the Ranji Trophy 2021-22 in two stages in the plan reworked.
