MUMBAI: Young India batswoman Jemimah Rodrigues will Perform with Northern Superchargers from the inaugural Version of This Hundred at the United Kingdom Beginning on July 21.
The 20-year-old combines her T20I skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, opener Shafali Verma and all-rounder Deepti Sharma at the 100-ball championship between eight men’s and women’s teams.
“I’m really excited about this (The Hundred).
Something fresh, something different,” Rodrigues told that the BBC’s’Stumped’ podcast.
“I’ve played the Yorkshire Diamonds and my group is currently that the Northern Superchargers.
Therefore, I have played some of these earlier, Lauren Winfield is that our captain,” Rodrigues additional.
Rodrigues was appointed in India’s squad for the tour of England to perform a one-off Evaluation in Bristol by June 16, accompanied closely by three ODIs and as numerous T20Is.
She’s now part of this continuing 14-day quarantine here with the remaining women’s group and men’s squad.
England World Cup winner Lauren Winfield-Hill has been defined to direct the Northern Superchargers which also contains leading Australian cricketer Alyssa Healy.
Rodrigues, Kaur, Mandhana and Sharma were a part of this now-defunct Kia Super League (KSL) at 2019, the ECB’s national T20 championship which made way for its Women’s Hundred.
The Hundred, that had been postponed last year as a result of COVID-19 pandemic, is scheduled to launch from July 21 using all the women’s match involving the Oval Invincibles and also Manchester Originals at London.
