LONDON: Lancashire Seam Bowler Saqib Mahmood has been added to British forces as a cover for the second test against India.
It could be understood that Saqib was being taken as a cover after Veteran Pacer Stuart Broad took a calf muscle injury during the training session Tuesday in God.
Saqib is 24 years old, who is from Pakistani descent, has played 16 white ball matches for England, which includes seven ODIS and nine T20i where it has numbered 21 Wickets.
In 22 first grade matches, he had taken 65 numbers.
With Saqib joining the squad, the ECB told that the off-spinner “Dom Bess would leave the troops and return to Yorkshire this morning.”
