Dubai: Pakistan has started their Twenty20 World Cup campaign by winning their two revenge matches but coach SAQLAIN MUSHTAQ insists they are unable to reduce their guards against Afghanistan “fearless” in Super 12 contests Friday.
The 2009 champion began with a 10-goal romp against Indian rivals, as well as their first victory against their neighbors at the World Cup.
Pakistan who was very charged to defeat New Zealand by five goals in the next match, which was played against a bad blood background between the sides.
Angered by the Sudden Cancellation of New Zealand from Pakistan’s limited tour last month for security concerns, Pakistani players were motivated to make points in the contest.
After a high profile match, the stakes will be relatively lower when they meet Afghanistan but Saqlain says there is no room for satisfaction.
“The children put their hearts and souls in the first two matches,” Saqlain, who took over as head coach while just before the tournament, told reporters on Thursday.
“Our beliefs and beliefs come from the two matches, we must continue it.” Regardless of whom we face, whether it is Afghanistan or other team, we need to play our cricket brand and carry out our plans with that mindset.
“If we can’t do that, it will come back to bite us.” Afghanistan defeated Scotland by 130 running in their opening and would depend on their three-spinning attacks that were confined to try and do upset against Pakistan.
“This is a strong unit.
We can’t say ‘it’s very easy and you will roll it out’,” said the former Spinner Saqlain test.
“They have a beautiful bowling attack, especially spinners, and they looked like them.” They only play some kind of fearless cricket.
I think such a team can be dangerous.
“World Cup, this is a mega-event.
You play all teams with the same intensity, with the same attitude, with the same mindset …”
