MUMBAI: Former Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) president Ravi Savant on Friday filed a petition in the Bombay High Court, seeking to put a stay on the MCA’s Determination to Market Amol Muzumdar Because the head Trainer of Their Mumbai senior Staff for Its 2020-21 season.

Savant has encouraged the court to control the MCA from approving a trainer pending a determination regarding the dismissal of this dissolution of their prior Cricket Improvement Committee (CIC).
“I have nothing against Amol, who has been a national stalwart and also is a former Mumbai Ranji-winning captain.
It is only that the procedure to punish him is unconstitutional,” Savant told TOI.
Savant has predicted the dissolution of their prior CIC from the MCA on February 18 because”mala fide, random and with no authority.” He’s encouraged the court to reinstate the prior CIC, which has been led by Lalchand Rajput, also contained Raju Kulkarni and Sameer Dighe.
Muzumdar’s appointment hasn’t gone down well with just two MCA Apex Council members too.
In individual emails to MCA secretaries Sanjay Naik and Shahalam Sheikh, Apex Council members Unmesh Khanvilkar, a former secretary of this institution, also Ajinkya Naik hauled their displeasure at not being educated or informed through the practice of Muzumdar’s appointment.
“It is most disheartening to learn such critical information like choice (not the titles ) along with finalization of this Mumbai senior staff’s trainer does not hit us Apex council members because official communicating.
I ask you to shoot this particular email to your dialogue during the forthcoming Apex Council meeting on 11th June 2021,” composed Khanvilkar.
Reiterating the things emphasized by Khanvilkar, Naik wrote,”At the newly held BCCI AGM, the beginning of the national season was not actually discussed.
In actuality, that the BCCI terminated a couple of contracts as they aren’t convinced of the national season.
Even though the credentials of Muzumdar aren’t at all doubt, in my opinion producing any new appointment within this situation is going to be a massive financial burden to MCA using all the national cricket season .
Reacting to the allegations, Sanjay Naik told TOI:”The Mumbai trainer is appointed from the MCA’s CIC according to the provision of this constitution rather than the office-bearers.
Before also, the CIC never consulted with the office-bearers or even Apex Council on those appointments.”
