Dharwad: Sexy Seers Lingayat said they would protest if the state government did not attract his decision to supply eggs to eat midday.
Dayanand Swami, the Operator of the All-India’s Vegetarian Federation, Lingayat Seers Forum, told Mediodperson on Wednesday that the government had to draw a decision before December 19.
If the government takes place with a decision, a convention of life will be held in front of Suvarna Vidhan Soudha in Bataway on December 20 and there will be protests, he said.
Seer said that in 1991 the Government S Bangarappa and in 2007 the government H D Kumaraswamy pulled the decision to present eggs to school children to eat midday.
People accused the government to take commissions from poultry owners to distribute eggs at school and demand the CBI investigation.
Dairand Swami said that with the pretext of malnutrition, the government was the Tingduiding Lingayats, Brahmins, Vaishyas, Jain and other communities, who were vegetarian, to break their traditions and habits.
Whether malnutrition was only in Karnataka, Lord Basavanna’s land, he asked.
The decision to end the malnutrition was good but the egg was the only solution for this, he asked.
He said nutritional vegetables can be given to school children.
He said he was not against non-vegetarian or government, but against those who tried to solve traditions and habits.
“It’s a pity that the eggs will be supplied in schools which are learning temples.
Should the teacher use class or keep the boiling eggs busy?” He asked.
Nearly 80 percent of educational institutions in Karnataka are run by Mutts and temples and this is a systematic conspiracy to damage the sanctity of Mutt, said Dayand Swamy.
The government must immediately withdraw this decision and provide vegetables to children, not eggs.
If the government continues with his decision, it will face the anger of the fortune tellers and the people, he warns.
