Dubai: Fast Bowler Pakistan Shaheen Afridi named Cricketer Men on Monday, combining with Person of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan to help his country dominate the annual award announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
England captain Joe Root won the Test of the Year Honors player to prevent a man’s award sweep by Pakistan.

Known because the York residents who were hissed and the ability to swing the ball, Afridi claimed 78 goals in 36 internationally in 2021 and was the best in the Twenty20 World Cup even though Pakistan came out in the semi-finals.
“I got five forings in the test but my most memorable performance was during our victory against India at the World Cup,” said the 21-year-old left conveyer.
Root was appreciated because of his noble form in 2021 when he became a third player – after Mohammad Yousuf of Pakistan and West Indies Viv Great Richards – to score more than 1700 run in the test cricket in the calendar year.
“If there are a hundred that really stand out, it might be in Chennai against India,” Root said referring to Stellar 218 at the Chidambaram MA Stadium.
