Colombo: The Indian Cricket team on Friday underwent his first training session ahead of the series limited to the host of Sri Lanka from July 13.
India, which has chosen the second string forces for the series with the current test team in the UK, has arrived in Sri Lanka on Monday after their players qualified in their room for three days.
The side was being led by Senior Shikhar Dhawan Batsman and was trained by the Head of NCA Rahul Dravid.
This series is the last Indian before the T20 World Cup in October-November.
The squad has as many as six players who have not been defeated including Chetan Sakariya, K Gowtham, Nitish Rana, Devdutt Padikkal, Varun Chakaravarth and Ruturaj Gaekwad.
It is also an important task for people such as Prithvi Shaw, Ishan Kiswan, Sanju Samson and Yadav Suryakumar who want to secure their place in the World Cup squad.
India plays three ODI and T20IS as much.
