FATEHPUR: Six additional bodies of supposed Covid-19 sufferers were discovered drifting at the Ganga at Uttar Pradesh, ” an official said on Monday.
Fatehpur sadar tehsil sub-collector (SDM) Pramod Jha stated that he had been advised about the figures floating in the lake on Sunday afternoon, after that a search operation has been started.
Six decomposed bodies have been recovered in the river,” he explained.
Later in the afternoon, a group of physicians performed the last rites in Bhitora Ganga Ghat according to the Covid instructions, the SDM mentioned.
The bodies couldn’t be identified since they have been exceptionally decomposed, the SDM explained, adding they seem to have come drifting out of far-off areas.
Before that month, at 52 bodies have been seen floating in the Ujiyar, Kulhadia along with Bharauli ghats at Ballia’s Narahi region.
On the other hand, the district police failed to inform the specific number of bodies discovered there.
