Johannesburg: Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Monday announced the updated Indian state border schedule in this country with the first Centurion hosting of three tests from December 26.
CSA and BCCI on Saturday announced that the tour would continue the departure of the Indian team will be postponed by a week and T20is will no longer be part of the schedule given the increasing number of Covid-19 cases due to the emergence of omicron variants in South Africa.
Indians initially will depart on December 9 but the travel plan has changed, which means that the test will now begin on December 26 instead of previously completed December 17.
“It is a pleasure for CSA to confirm the schedule that is updated for.
The Indian man’s tour to South Africa,” CSA said in a statement.
“As announced over the weekend, the tour had diminished from three series into two; TEST BETWAY and the international series one day, took place from December 26 to January 23, 2022 in four places, after BCCI engagement.” Four-Match KFC T20i Series will be rescheduled for a more appropriate time in the new year.
“The second test will be played at The Wanderers here from January 03-07 while the third match will be held in Newlands, Cape Town from 11 January -15.
Three ODI will be played at Boland Park, Paarl (19 and 21 January) and Cape Town ( January 23) Centurion (January 3 to 17): Test 3 Johannesburg (11-15 January): Cape Town 1st Odi (January 19): PAARL 2ND ODI (January 21): PAARL 3RD ODI (Januar Y 23): Cape Town.
