South Africa will be without a number of key players for their three-day international in Sri Lanka next month, but expecting their big weapons to return for the twenty -20 series that followed when they built a World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
South Africa plays three odi in Colombo from September 2-7, but will be without leading the Batsman Quinton de Kock (rest), a strong medium-breater David Miller (hamstring injury) and Lungi Ngidi seafarers (personal reasons).
Dwaine All-Rounder Pretorius will return to the team for the two series after the lay-off injury that sees it lost a successful tour to West Indies and Ireland in recent months.
The lost trio was included in the 19-Man team which was expanded to the T20 match, which will also be staged in Colombo from September 10-14, a month before the World Cup began.
South Africa won their T20 series against West Indies and Ireland world champions and once again will be attended by Bavuma Toba in both formats.
