Colombo (Sri Lanka): Sri Lanka Cricket on Friday announced that 18 players have signed a national player contract, which came into force starting 1.
August 1.
The new contract will be for a period of 5 months and will expire on December 31.
“The player signed a contract without deviations from the contract offered earlier, which was formulated by Sri Lanka Cricket along with the Technical Advisory Committee,” SLC stated in the release.
The players were chosen under four categories and were nominated by the selection panel, based on a series of criteria such as performance, fitness, leadership / seniority, professionalism / code of behavior, and the future / adaptability.
The criteria and allocation of points for individual players are divided among the players before they sign the contract.
Meanwhile, Angelo Mathews, which among the players who offer contracts is not considered, because he is currently not available for selection, while Danushka Gunathilaka, Niroshan Dickwella and the crush of the Disal currently serving a ban.
Isuru Udana has retired from international cricket.
The players who are given a national contract are: Dhananjaya de Silvan, Karunaratne’s Dictut Karunaratne, Suranga Lakmal, Dasun Shanaka, Wanindang Hasaranga, Lashum Nissanka, Birthu Tirimanne, Dushmantha Chameera, Dinesh Chandiman, Laksha Fernando, Oshada Fernando, Ramesh Mendis, Birth of Kumara , Ashen Airport, and Akila Dananjaya.
