Kandy (Sri Lanka): Sri Lanka Spinner Jeffrey Vandersay returned 4-10 to lead Row 184-run Zimbabwe in the third of the third day as the host won a 2-1 draw on Friday.
Zimbabwe crashed 70 in 24.4 overs when Sri Lanka Bowlers were combined to maintain their total 254-9 in Kandy.
Quickly Bowler Dushmantha Chameera and Offspinner Ramesh Disked claimed each of the two numbers.
Opening the Pathum Batsman Nissanka scored with 55 and Charith Asalanka made 52 to increase Sri Lankan scores despite Bowling’s disciplined efforts by Zimbabwe.
But Vandersay Leg-Spinner made its own match with the best figures when Sri Lanka got the important points of Super League in their efforts to get a direct entry to the World Cup 2023.
Sri Lanka Bowlers came all the weapons that led to maintain the lowest total from The series who witnessed a 297 chase in the opening match by the host who then fell 22 walked less than their target in the second game.
Chameera attacked successive delivery to send back Regis Chakabva for one and Captain Craig Ervine to be in vain in third place of pursuit.
Sean Williams avoided a hat-trick but was immediately cut by Spinner Maheesh Theekshana for six.
Vandersay got Takudzwanashe Knokano Confused with Wicketkeeper Kusal Disal releasing guarantees in an instant.
Ramesh, who made 26 valuable with bats, made him counted with two nails after he replaced Nuwan Pradeep and the opposition sticks fell like a pack of cards.
Previously Nissanka went to Sri Lanka with a good start when she was wearing 80 runs with a partner of the crusts of mischief.
Zimbabwe hit back with Wickets to do the host who rocked even though the 56-ball knocked Asalanka who became the 100th odi head of the Chatara Tendai.
Chatara became the fastest Zimbabwe Bowler for a century of Odi’s goal in 76 matches when he surpassed the former captain and a quick effort to Bowler Heath from 81 matches.
Richard Ngarava returns the number 2-46 of his nine overs.
Chamika Karunaratne, who made 30, and Ramesh used 48 walks to the seventh goal to add a total which turned out to be the winner.
