Karachi: Deputy Captain White-Ball Pakistan Shadab Khan admitted the situation came out of a sudden resignation of head coach, Misbah UL-Haq and coach Bowling, Waqar Younis was not ideal but the team tried to avoid negative thoughts that appeared.
The Pakistani Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday announced that Misbah and Waqar have resigned and that the former Pakistani Test Player SAQLAIN MUSHTAQ and Abdul Razzaq will be temporary coaches for now.
Sudden changes coincided with the induction of the former Ramiz King test captain as the chairman of the new PCB on September 13.
Ramiz, on the YouTube channel and as a commentator and analyst, has stated that he does not believe that the best coach for Misbah and Waqar Pakistani teams.
“I can’t comment on their decision but yes we as a team trying to ensure that no negatives crept into our camp because of the recent incident because it was not an ideal situation for us,” he said.
“Our focus is to do the things that are in our control in the right way.
We don’t want to think about what if the situation.
With the T20 World Cup approaching, our focus is preparing for it,” said the 22-year-old player the World Cup in the UAE from October 17.
Shadab said there was no guarantee of success in international cricket.
“Look, we can do our best to prepare for the situation but there is no guarantee about success or failure.
It’s the same as every team,” said the experienced All-Rounder, who is the representative for Babar Azam.
“We try to play modern cricket and become agressive and selfless in our approach with the game, but we will also face failure in this matter and I think we need to accept it.” Shadab, a member of the Pakistani troop who won the Champions trophy in 2017, said it would be good if New Zealand had sent their full force forces to Pakistan for the Three ODI series and five T20i which would mean more competitive Cricket entered the T20 World Cup.
“But what we have to realize is that this is their national team and has eight to nine players who have played for them in Odi Cricket and even T20 matches, and we will not underestimate them at all.
It will be a mistake.”
