Surge Steady In Passengers and Flight Traffic at Kalaburagi Airport

Hubballi: Apart from the overall decline in the country’s economy, many airports in Tier-2 cities have witnessed uptick in traffic.
Kalaburagi Airport, for cases, quickly appeared as the main nodal point on the Karnataka flight map, if someone had to go with the average number of passengers per flight at the terminal.
Between April and July, an average of 36 passengers, up or down from every flight at the airport.
More importantly, more flights are operated between Kalaburagi and other cities in Karnataka such as Mangaluru, Biasaavi, Hubballi, Bengaluru and Mysore during the same period this year compared to 2020.Data sourced from the Indian airport (AAI) shows that as much as possible when 691 flights were operated at Kalaburagi airport between April and July, while 24,839 passengers traveled above them.
Although more passengers used Bellagavi airport during the same period – 73,071 – the average number of passengers per flight was higher in Kalaburagi, at the age of 36, while the number of BELOGIVAs stand at 32, followed by Hubballi (18) and Mysore (18) .
April and July this year, 9,716 flights operated from Bengaluru, with nearly 30 passengers lakh passed through the rotary door, while 1.7 passengers traveled with a 545 board of flights operated from Mangaluru International Airport in this period.
