Hubballi: South Western Railway has tracked roewal and engineering work to increase sectional speed, the speed of the loop line at the station and to remove permanent speed limit.
The work is expected to open the way for a long stretch and free restrictions that will help increase the potential speed of the train.
Word said in a press release that sectional speed has increased in more than 317 km-route Swr.
“Some parts include Tumakuru-Nittle-Gubbi, Arsilicere-Kardi-Banasandra, Davangere-Tolahunse, Harihar-Devargudda, Chikkaballapur-Kolar, Yelahanka-Devarapalle, Chikkodi Road-Raybag-Kudachi, Gadag-Binkadakatti, Jumnal -Vijayapura will now have speed higher than the first nine months of this financial year, the speed on the loop line at various stations with a total of 153km has increased from 15 kmph to 30kmph.
The speed on the loop line has increased at all stations between YesVantpur and Hubballi in the last three years.

“Until December 2021, 18 permanent speed restrictions were removed,” released added.
