Karachi (Pakistan): Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ramiz King has revealed that the PCB will get a blank check if the LED side of Babar Azam defeats India in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
India will face Pakistan in their opening match from the T20 World Cup T20 Male 2021 at Dubai International Stadium on October 24.
“PCB runs 50 percent in ICC funding.
90 percent of the funds for ICC come from India.
I am afraid if India stops funding the ICC, then the PCB might collapse because the PCB provides zero funds per cent to ICC.
I am determined to make Pakistan Cricket Strong,” Pakistan’s Cricket said quoting Ramiz Raja at a meeting with the committee of a Senate standing on inter-provincial coordination (IPC) “One strong investor told me that empty checks were ready for PCB if Pakistan defeated India in the upcoming T20 World Cup,” he added.
Last month, New Zealand decided to end the tour against Pakistan after the New Zealand government security warnings.
The PCB Chair said the team would not resign from Pakistan tour if the board had strong financial support.
“If our cricket economy is strong, we will not be used and then taken by teams such as Britain and New Zealand,” he said.
“The best cricket team and the best cricket economy are two big challenges,” Ramiz said.
