Experts have warned that the third covid wave will be severe in children.
The team examined the pediatric intensive care unit in SRN Hospital and interacted with senior medical officials and pediatric experts.
The joint team also checks the artificial drill conducted by medical staff and paramedics at the hospital with claims that patient care will begin in 10 minutes from the entry of patients to the pediatric intensive care unit and offer patient oxygen.

Mukesh Veer Singh, the Head of the Pediatric Department at the Child Hospital, which was under the SRN Hospital MLN Medical College told toi that the joint team examined all kinds of instruments including monitors, ventilators, bipap machines and their current status.
He added that team members also interacted with medical officials to ask about their readiness in terms of triggers and handling patients.
Drill mocked was held to explain the department’s preparedness.

The senior faculty along with a junior doctor and paramedic staff also recounted readiness.
The focus is to increase medical infrastructure with special attention to pediatric treatment when experts have warned that children will be at higher risk during the third Covid-19 wave.
