HUBBALLI: Most teams have stepped up to assist district hospitals from the country wave over the Covid catastrophe by offering medical essentials.
A police officer at Telangana also has joined the campaign.
Vishwanath Sajjanar, ADGP, commissioner of government, Cyberabad, was giving a helping hand to government colleges at Gadag, Hubballi and Saundatti.
Sajjanar has been playing a critical part in compelling NGOs and IT firms in Telangana and Hyderabad to contribute medical kits and medications to authorities of Karnataka.
He’s sent medicines worth more than 1 crore, given by NGOs, to north Karnataka.
The senior police officer ranged from Ron at Gadag and analyzed from Hubballi.
Dr Mallikarjun Sajjanar, brother of Vishwanth, and also resident of Hubballi advised STOI their uncle was confessed to Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences that a couple of days back for Covid therapy.
“Throughout the course of therapy, some physicians had said the dearth of medications for Covid patients.
I conveyed the exact same for my brother, who also used his own connections to convince his buddies, NGOs and IT companies in Telangana to contribute medications to government physicians at Gadag, Hubballi along with Saundatti.
We’ve distributed medications to KIMS, Hubballi (worth Rs 35 lakh), Gadag district (Rs 40 lakh), Dharwad district (Rs 35 lakh) and also Saundatti district (Rs 12 lakh),” he explained.
He added:”We’re primarily focusing on distributing medications, oxygen tanks and concentratorsthat can be in short supply at government associations ” Covid kits and sanitisers are also being provided.
Bharat S, ZP CEO, Gadag, stated, Vishwanath Sajjanar was connected with them to learn about any lack of medications.
Asked about the efforts he’s making to facilitate the Covid catastrophe, Sajjanar stated:”It is my responsibility to serve the folks at this crucial moment.
As soon as I received requests for medications, I contacted several NGOs, buddies and IT businesses, who consented to supply medications, Covid kits and other clinical essentials to authorities in Karnataka.
We’re trying our very best to fulfill the requirements with the support of NGOs.
