Contrary to popular expectations, finally came quickly to India on the 4th day of the third test against England in Headingley on Saturday.
The visitors, were dismissed for 278 15 minutes before lunch, lost eight goals for 63 runs to lose by innings and 76 running with more than one day.
The five-match series now stands at 1-1 with two more tests to go.
The fate of India rested in the hands of the three of their most experienced Batsmen – Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane – which collectively had an experience of 261 tests between them.
But then cricket oddities never stopped stunning.
On a sunny and bright day, Ideal for hitting, British Pacer Ollie Robinson dismantled the famous Indian middle order, a piece by piece.
That morning belonged to the 27-year-old sailor, which was completed with the figures of 5-65, five second series, sheltering his senior partner James Anderson.
6ft 5in quickly has placed a full initial turmoil with its international career by giving when most visitors remain not available for various reasons.
Robinson was banned eight matches by the previous ECB in the season for the tweet ‘racist and sexist’ posted back in 2012 and 2013.
For India, many depend on the type of Kohli and Pujara – will have it – provided against the second new ball.
However, England bowlers set tones with excess three goals, to get started.
The first left was Pujara, who was fooled by Robinson.
Saurashtra’s Batsman had left most of the ball before it, and when he saw to let the others pass, but the NIP-Backer headed to the front pad.
Bowler quickly convinced Captain Joe Root to ride upwards when the referee Field Richard Kettlebborough ruled him did not come out.
But without a shot offered, the decision was against Pujara who was left in the first test century since 2019.
Incidentally, this was the sixth year of Pujara (91) was dismissed without adding overnight scores.
Kohli survived a few moments of anxiety against Anderson to reach the 26th century test with the help of some of the four Robinson.
But again, he poke with Robinson’s delivery outside the off-stump to his colleague at the first slip.
His writing is good and really on the wall for India.
Ajinkya Rahane gave Anderson Innings his first second Wicket for a long time when he pushed the big ball into Jos Buttler and Rishabh Pant, not for the first time, Nicked Robinson to Craig Overton in the third.
Pants have scored 87 runs from five rounds and the nature of his dismissal in this series has caused serious doubts about his ability to jasmine on No.
6 while facing the dukes.
Ravindra Jadeja did try turning his muscles with 25-ball 30 before crawling one to the Buttler off Robinson.
“To get back up in a way, what we have done is the most impressive thing.
Bowling on the first day is amazing, then the opening way of playing and substantial partnerships that we have,” said the roots that were radiant in the postchatch presentation.
It was a special moment for the England captain who led from the front with 121 which was smooth to raise England’s victory.
This was the 27th victory as the captain and he had improved Michael Vaughan’s mentor’s record of 26 test wins.
Asked whether British revival was surprising, the root replied: “Maybe for you but it’s not for me because I know the talent we have and what we can.”
